Regression to Positive Experiences
Session Information | Requirements | Suggested Reading
This kind of regression is useful in helping clients get used to the Regression process. It is also valuable in helping individuals overcome mild depression by reminding them of positive experiences from the past which they can tap into for a new perspective in the present. Sometimes the hypnotherapist directs the category of positive experience to be visited; at other times, the client’s subconscious makes the choice. Several positive events are usually re-experienced, each in turn building up the power of positive feeling.
However, at times, other feelings may accompany the initial positive feelings and become opportunities for the client to explore further some of his issues through other hypnotic processes. When this process is done in a group setting, the sharing that follows often bonds the members quite deeply.
